George W. Dunne National, has been recognized by Golf Digest as one of the countries top
public courses with a 4 1/2 star rating. This 7262 yard championship layout is a coveted jewel
among Chicagoland's best amateur players.
Located in southwest suburban Oak Forest, George W. Dunne National Golf Course is
certified as Cooperative Sanctuary by Audubon International. Offering tour-condition bent
grass fairways and greens Dunne is set deep in the woods of a stunning forest preserve. Eight
lakes, come into play on eleven of the course's holes, tree lined fairways and not to mention an
abundance of wildlife helping make your golf experience a memorable one.
Highlights include the 8th, with a beautiful approach shot over a crystal lake to a shallow green, the 11th, a par-5 with a fairway bracketed left and right by water, and the diabolical finishing hole, which has to be seen to be believed. A full PGA pro shop, grill, practice area and lighted driving range complete this outstanding facility.
